Wise and Altiris joined forces in December, 2003, with the combined goal of providing the best service-oriented management solutions for our customers. On April 6, 2007, Altiris became part of Symantec, combining its endpoint management capabilities with the security and back-up expertise of Symantec to deliver a unique set of solutions to the market.

Preparing applications for deployment through enterprise software packaging and developing Windows Installer installations is a critical component of Altiris service-oriented management solutions. Wise Package Studio has been and will continue to be focused on providing the strongest application packaging functionality available in the market for all our customers regardless of distribution system. Altiris, now part of Symantec, will also continue to support Windows Installer technology and our full line of developer products.
